Anyone find any "secrets" yet?

I have been playing ever since it came out.

A strinking great game.

But I have found none of these so called "secrets"

Anyone find any?

One person has discovered a secret on his own and notified me, but the particular secret was actually replaced with a different one for 1.1!

I did give away one secret in another forum though: If you're having trouble with food and starvation- start a new game and type in the name "Fat Bastard" (no quotes, capitalized as I have it here) and then check your inventory!

If anyone has discovered others let us know! I can tell you that there are quite a few in there

Good question. I had not found any (or tried) until reminded by this thread. Fourth try I found a special name and started with:

Blessed 5,+5 freezing dagger of griffin slaying
+5 leather armor
ring of slow digestion
Strength 24

I was going to try some more, but decided I better play this character first in case it only works once! Off to lay waste to some monsters...

Made it out with the Amulet of Yendor with that head start, and some luck.
I was lucky to find that name too, have tried another 40+ ideas without success.

so the secrets are name triggered as i had guessed, though i was unable to figure any out even with extensive trying

Since the secret you two discovered has been removed from version 1.1, please don't post it here. It'll only make future readers angry when it doesn't work! In exchange, anyone who's found the code PM us and we'll tip you towards a new secret code with you once the update is live...

We'll be adding even more of them in version 1.2!

Wait...If you discover a secret and get to the surface with the amulet of Yendor...will it be included in the future Rankings? That sounds unfair

Tried a few of the Fellowship and interesting Results.
Great Game brings back memories from my old Atari ST days.
