Had kind of a benign bug today. Just descended a level, and the map not only showed my room, but also showed another room as being discovered even though I hadn't moved away from the stairs.

Hey! That's a really odd one :)

As you said its definitely benign, and almost considered a bonus, but still wrong! My first guess is that somehow the determination for what room you're in is broken in some way (maybe a bad pointer- so that you appeared to be in one room, but are actually in another). Hopefully I can spot that one quick, as it could affect monster chasing if they are unable to determine what room you are in. Don't want to let this get easy now! :D

You said you removed illeagal moves, but there is still one I found. If you're wearing armor and directly put on a new set of armor you get a "You're already wearing some-You'll have to take some off first." Directly after that I had a Kestral hit me, so I think it counts as a move.
There's nothing in the world as ruthless or impartial as death. All living matter ages over time and eventually dies... No matter how mighty or tiny its life force... So being alive means you're creeping closer to death with every second...

Good catch! I am fairly certain I removed the ability to strike during "illegal moves" like moving into a wall, but I didn't check out every possible action. It seems that there are some other still needing attention! :ugeek:

Version 1.5 - Read a scroll of Safe Passage ("You hear clicking sounds coming from the walls and floor..."), but still managed to set off a Sleep Trap.

Had a crash today. I had just read a scroll of identification, identified a ring of aggravate monster, then threw the ring away (it landed like 6 spaces to the left), and then I had tapped to bring up my inventory and it crashed.

Just wanted to pop in here for a minute from the jobsite!

Nighthawk- I think I know what's going on with the Scroll of Safe Passage, and it should be fixed in the next version. Just to confirm: Was the sleep trap already visible when you tripped it, or was it undiscovered and you found it by stepping on normal floor after reading the scroll? Let me know so I can be sure I am going the right direction with my fix :D

lr100, thank you for the crash log, I'll pull it up once I can get back to my Mac partition tonight... stuck working with Windows here in the facility

It was undiscovered.

Playing as Athena, version 1.5 (as a part of the contest):

1) Athena does not automatically identify scrolls that you are unable to pick up because your pack is full.

2) Athena's spear does not come with a one time Zap ability (which got me killed )

Hmmm....

1) That's interesting, hadn't tested for that since it's not a normal ability! I would assume that any character with auto-identification of an item-type probably suffers from the same affliction then. I suppose I could argue that they need to physically pick it up to tell what it is, but that could be considered a cop-out

2) I left the zap ability off hers intentionally (and most other people who start with "slaying" weaponry. I could also do the opposite- create a character with a slaying weapon that has more than one charge on it! I think I'll leave that one alone ;)

Working on the update a bit in the hotel here... Did find the bug that causes the Nymph to steal the last item from your pack and fixed it... much to the dismay of people who relied on that I'm sure
