So since the updates my finding magic items has been horribly compromised, so I started playing on my own guy that has a couple nice starting items, and still almost never find any, especially good ones. I just started a new game

Floor 2 you sense magic, +2,+2 shocking katana
Floor 3 you sense magic supercharged lightning staff
Floor 4 hear shuffling feet 2 rings 5 pots 3 scrolls + food
Floor 5 more shuffling feet more goodies
Floor 6 more feet?! Goodies + +2,+2 freezing 2handed drop from mob

If magic find a constand or a random variable?

I've just found more AND better items in 6 floors then I have from a couple hundred floors of diving with various neo's

I'd get to the nearest casino before that stuff runs out!

Ive had the same thing. I had no good items for about 20 runs, and then all of a sudden I didnt have enough room to keep all the good things i was finding on my next game. I had 8(!) rings, 5 staffs, a 2 handed sword of fire an orc dropped on floor 2, and a bunch of other good junk. The problem was finding scrolls of identify so i could find out what i actually had. Then I met the troll who could never be hit on floor 18 or something and died. Awesome.
