You've got a good memory for the Atari ST version... even further back the "fruit" of choice was user designated like the name. If you supplied no name, it would give you "slime mold" to eat

I used mushrooms because it was another fungus, and I could get a cute looking mushroom on the screen, more recognizable than a slime mold. What kind of pixel blob would that be?

Plus I can give you hilarious hallucinogenic effects with mushrooms
