I don't know why I feel so guilty posting a spoiler...
But here's another secret character, and wow... this is pretty "explosive." Don't go any further if you don't want to be spoiled.
Ripley (female)

+1, +1 crossbow of jabberwock slaying
(99) +1, +1 crossbow bolts
+0 chain mail

wand of fire
(3) potions of demolition
I don't actually play the special characters but they are fun to hunt for.

She's my favorite new character
The motion tracker to sense enemies just came to me at the last minute before submission, I thought it would be a neat touch

I haven't made it down to aquator territory yet with her, so I didn't know that part......but I can confirm the vision
Guess I'll hang on to an extra armor or two anyway for a bit longer, though................

The +1 vision actually comes from her blessed weapon. If you drop weapon, she loses vision.
I never knew that blessed weapons give +1 vision.

Neither did I........never have tried the Van Helsing secret character yet, either.
Had to start over again........I think this time I'll search the (skeleton) corpse from a distance rather than walk right over it. Yep, got killed by my old dead body again
