Rogue Touch Reviews!

We thought we'd put up links to some press that Rogue Touch has gotten! If you've seen another review floating around out there, let us know! Oh, and if you haven't left us a nice review in the iTunes App Store we'd appreciate it very much if you did so It would help balance out the meanys who delete and rate one star
The short list so far:
Blake at TouchArcade.com gave us a really nice review this past weekend, as well as a preview the week before that probably led most of you here!
Eric at FrapStr.com also had a lot to say about us on Saturday!
Both of these sites are top notch! FrapStr may be the less visible of the two, but they are very thorough and dedicated guys. I recommend reading both of them daily, as CD and I do

Swain at iphoneappreviews.net just reviewed us and had a lot of positive things to say. Thanks Swain, we'd like Rogue Touch to be the perfect iPhone version too- and we're working on it

Gary at 148apps.com wrote a positive review on RT. We know the graphics are dated compared to modern gaming (our design decision... a lot of people would love to see us include ASCII characters for really old school charm ), but totally agree the gameplay and replay value are what makes Rogue Touch such a great experience!

Chuck at AppVee.com covered Rogue Touch today with a fair review. My guess is that Chuck's not familiar with Rogue's roots based on some of his sticking points, so he's most likely not a big fan of the genre. It's interesting to see an outsider's take since most of our reviewers have been roguelike players at one point or another. Could we do fancier dungeon graphics? Sure, but we were aiming at a specific target when drawing these. I guess older geeks like us are more easily wowed by the old rogue in a new suit! Still a passing grade of three stars though, so he did at least enjoy playing RT!

Blake at TouchArcade posted a follow-up about us, and the updates we've been making for our fans! Seems he's become one too! Thank you so much Blake, we're glad that RT has made it to your short-list of things you play when you're not actually playing for the job!

Steve at SlideToPlay.com posted a pretty comprehensive review of Rogue Touch. He definitely enjoyed it, but admits the old world gameplay is not for everyone! We're still working on the game balance... Things were done to make the game less punishing to newcomers so they were not discouraged immediately, plus new types of magic and equipment were introduced that did not exist in the original Rogue. It's teetered toward the easier side, and that is being corrected as we go forward with even more new features
New on 4/02/09:
Bob at AppVersity.com reviewed our 1.3/1.4 combo update and really liked it! We loved the bits of humor in his review about the good old days of gaming and "darn kids!", he also seems to genuinely appreciate the hard work we've put into this. Nope, Rogue Touch is definitely not for everyone but we've tried very hard to make it appeal to a broader audience than the original would have these days
