Yep, potion colors, ring stones, wand/staff woods and metals... The scroll names are generated out of random consonants and vowels to make it look almost "latin-ish". And it goes without saying that the dungeons are random (and the mazes that appear in deep levels of it). Zakia actually fell for it once, thinking the mazes were static he mapped them out and then ate his graph paper later

Just joking with you Zakia! ;)

Jessica will be released from the dungeon soon to update the equipment page and guildmaster willing, maybe get some FAQ data posted too! :D

Small tips for identification:

*PM me for a secret character that starts with 3 identity scrolls, and also for a small draft of my in-game message FAQ that should be being built upon by Jessica.
*Item testing is a natural process, if you would like however, test them only when you have 2 copies.
*I believe 10% of items are cursed, so it's NBD if you try on random stuff, just make sure you don't try something on you know is inferior EX: You have banded mail and try on leather armor.
*Print a copy of the formulas for damage.
*Zapping a wand identifies the type but not the charges.
*Drop a scroll and pick it up to see if it's a scroll of monster scaring.
There's nothing in the world as ruthless or impartial as death. All living matter ages over time and eventually dies... No matter how mighty or tiny its life force... So being alive means you're creeping closer to death with every second...

Cursed items are a pain in the butt. :P

Formulas for damage??? I don't know what the +1+0 stuff means, let alone the 2d3 stuff.........

The first + is damage, the second is hit rate. A -2 +5 mace would be extremely weak but hit almost every time. A +5 -2 mace however would deal tons of damage but not hit much.

I think d = strength. So just spread those numbers apart. 2x15(Str)x3= 90 damage.

Say you have a +1,+3 mace. The first number is a bonus to hit. The second number is a bonus to damage.

A mace does 2d4 damage. The d stands for dice, from role playing games where dice are used to determine outcomes. You are probably familiar with a d6 which is the normal dice, faces labelled 1 through 6. For the mace damage you roll 2 four-sided die and add the results. This gives you a number in the range 2 to 8. That magic bonus gets added directly to the total, so your +1,+3 mace will do 5 to 11 base damage.

The war hammer does 6d2. That is like flipping a coin six times, heads does 1 damage, tails does 2 damage, add the results.

Wow, I fail. I probably swapped both +'s, and I thought d = str.

Zakia,
There are several wands which do not identify when zapping. I'm sure that the Wand of Nothing & Wand of Cornucopia don't identify automatically. I think that this has happened a couple of times to me since the update.
