Ring of Kings is pretty rare, like a 1 in 100 chance of any particular ring you find being one. It'd be neat to see two of them on one guy! Even then, the benefit might not be worth the trouble once you get up in the higher ranks :D

That old FAQ Jim2wheels refers to is definitely a very good resource for now. Quite a few of our items don't exist in that old version, and even some of our monsters are different, but it is still good reading for anyone who wants juicy details. We really need to get one done here of that caliber but I can't even find the time to finish the 1.6 update yet!

So, very interestingly I have TWO ring of kings! I ran into my old corpse, and fought the skeleton and picked up a second ring! This is with the Drizzt character, so he didn't even spawn with a ring. Do I get extra XP? Is it worth giving up my ring of stealth?

You get 1XP per step per ring, so 2XP per step in your case. It's an awesome feat of beating the odds to have two of those at once, but from a gameplay perspective they're really only useful early on, when you can use them to level up quickly.

My play style tends towards stealth so I'd probably wear both ring of kings until the 12th floor, then switch out one of them for the ring of stealth. If you happen to have a ring of slow digestion then I'd put that on and remove the other ring of kings!

Thanks, I'm glad to note that they do stack. I ended up with a fairly powerful character that could never find a restore strength potion. Eventually I died on level 16 on my way back out. I switched out for a ring of stealth, and a ring of searching. I had 26 food items, so slow digestion wasn't needed. I died with a scare monster in my pack, I just got lazy. I had forgotten about this game, and loaded it up recently. It's still a lot of fun on touch.

With 26 food items, are you aware that you can throw food at monsters to put them to sleep? Coupled with the ring of stealth fighting need only occur rarely.
