I've beaten the game with AC 7. I have real problems getting a good set of armor most games. I end up getting rusted out by Aquators and traps, and when I try to change armor everything I find seems to be cursed. (nothing like finding multiple cursed leather -2 armors ) I don't think excellant armor...

I just managed to beat it with a regular character, currently 2nd on the speed list. Found a +2 +2 Katana of freezing very early on, by the end I had enchanted it to +3 +7. For most of the game I only had a ring of sustain strength, but found a ring of searching very late which helped me get back up...
