Do I risk losing my armor if a use a protect armor scroll on it a second time (like if you use vorpalize twice on the same weapon)?

Just found on lev 18: 10 +2 +2 blessed darts...

My first ever blessed weapon completely useless?

Yeah, i found it on lev 27. Making my way out struggling mainly with food at this point, even with a ring of slow digestion. Three narrow escapes from starvation already up to lev 17...

I have a great char going but fell through a pit on floor 26 before finding the amulet. Can I still find it on lower floors and get out of this place?
